Dreamworks returns to the fray: Launches trailer for its own 'little mermaid'

In the most recent film bet of dreamworks the ‘little mermaid’ will now be the villain. With the release of the first trailer for “Krakens and Mermaids: Meet the Gillmans” it seems that it will return to direct competition against Disney.

In the midst of the drama that the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid” is generating for the company of the mouse, its competition in the world of animation presents this story about ruby gillmana young kraken who wants to fit in with her new schoolmates, until she discovers that she is descended from an important royal line and is destined to inherit the throne of the Seven Seas.

The film, which will be released on June 30, features the voices of Lana Condor, Jane Fonda, Toni Collette, Jakoubie Young-White and Annie Murphy.

This isn’t the first time Dreamworks has competed against Disney thematically. When in 1998 he launched “Homiguitaz” there was also a billboardBugs” from the second company. This was repeated in 2006 with “Wild life”from Disney, who did not give any fight to “Madagascar”which went on to have sequels and spin-off series and became a profitable franchise.
