A Uefa set this Friday. 17, the clashes of the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The world’s biggest club competition now has just eight teams in contention; Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan, Benfica, Napoli, Milan, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

At this stage, all ranked clubs could face each other. For the first time since 2006, three Italian clubs are in this stage, Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan. In addition to the confrontations, Uefa also defines the grouping until the grand final in Turkey, on June 10th.

The first leg matches will take place on April 11th and 12th, at 5 pm (Brasília time). The return games will be played on April 18 and 19, at the same time.

The mighty Real Madrid have Chelsea again in this quarter-final stage. The teams met last season at the same stage, with Merengue winning the 180-minute match.

Also noteworthy for the Italian classic Milan and Napoli. If the Milan team advances, and Inter, who face Benfica, also qualify, we could have the classic Milan and Inter Milan in the semifinal.

Another confrontation that should also move this phase is Manchester City and Bayern Munich. City hopes to overcome the German team and pave the way for its first Champions League, while Bayern, who eliminated PSG in the round of 16, wants to win the cup again after three years.
