Beaten by Hooligans - Fan (42) after LASK match ready for hospital

What a sad end to a lavish football festival in the new Linz stadium! Aggressive football fans are said to have attacked and seriously injured a 42-year-old father after the LASK game against Red Bull Salzburg last Sunday.

Concussion, broken nose, bruised ribs, hematoma – when a family man (42) from the Linz area woke up on Sunday evening after visiting the new Linz stadium, he was lying in a hospital bed. He had previously attended the LASK match against Red Bull Salzburg with his wife and son (19). The family was in the LASK fan sector and initially waited a bit after the game to escape the hustle and bustle. However, when leaving the stadium at 8.30 p.m., the family on Roseggerstraße probably bumped into hooligans who wanted to vent their reaction because their team had lost 2-0. The group attacked the father brutally. There was a scuffle between the son and a four- Groups of up to six people (all around 30 years old). When the father wanted to help his son, he was brutally attacked. Another witness was unharmed. The thugs then ran away, according to the police. LASK spokesman Raphael Habringer: “We do not yet know anything about the incident.”
