“Last year, we completely switched to the Russian chip at Troika. Now we are working on the introduction of a more modern chip that will allow us to launch even more ticketing solutions. Back in 2019, we made the right investment and got the result – modern and safe domestic technology, which ensures the stable operation of the ticket system in transport,” the words of Moscow’s Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov are quoted in the message.
It is noted that cards with Russian-made chips fully comply with the standards of urban transport. For them, it is not necessary to change or modify the equipment of turnstiles and ticket offices.
