A drunk driver lost control of his car in Andelsbuch early Sunday morning and crashed it onto a railway line. The young man ended up in the hospital and his car ended up in a junkyard.
With a blood alcohol level of 1.2, the Bregenzerwald got into his car around 5 a.m. after a night of drinking, but he wasn’t supposed to get home. Ironically, in the glamorous “garbage collection curve” in Andelsbuch, he lost control of his car, which subsequently crashed into the forest railway line below. Despite various injuries, the casualty managed to free himself from the completely demolished wreckage and to call for help. The rescue workers then took him to the city hospital in Dornbirn.
