In Moldova, the police tried to prevent people from entering Chisinau on their way to an opposition protest. This is reported TASS.

Near the city of Glodyany, the police stopped buses and cars carrying supporters of the opposition Movement for the People. There is information about similar incidents in other Moldovan cities, including Balti, Briceni and Riscani.

Buses and cars with citizens following the protest are blocked by the police, their registration numbers are removed from them, and they are sent to the garage. The transport was stopped by the police in the city of Glodeni, indignant people who were dropped off blocked the highway in protest

The leaders of the “Movement for the People” appealed to the country’s authorities to respect the constitution and laws that guarantee the right of citizens to move and peaceful expression of opinion, including protests.

Earlier it was reported that Moldovan President Maia Sandu admitted the possibility of unrest during a protest rally to be held in Chisinau on March 12. At the same time, according to her, the police of the republic has already proved that it is capable of ensuring public order.
