This Saturday, around 3:00 p.m., a strong impact occurred at the intersection of Route 40 and Calle 9, in Pocito. On the occasion, a Fiat Cronos and a Fiat Idea collided a few kilometers from another intersection where traffic lights have already been placed due to the number of road accidents that occurred and that some claimed fatalities.
According to sources, the Idea was traveling from North to South on Route 40 when it hit violently with the Cronos, which was going in the opposite direction but tried to turn west on Calle 9.
They also reported that a 33-year-old man named Ponce, a native of Mendoza, was traveling in the Fiat Crono, while the Fiat Idea was driven by a 35-year-old man, named Sarmiento.
Firefighters personnel worked on the road accident and police personnel collaborated to order traffic in the area. It is unknown if there were serious injuries.
