AMP doctors reached an agreement for fees with IOMA
The doctors and doctors in relation to the Instituto Obra Médico Asistencial -IOMA- will receive an increase in the value of the consultation that will be, according to the category, from 25 to 45 percent. The adjustment will not imply an increase in the value of the co-payment that members must pay.
This update of fees was reached based on an agreement reached between the social work and the Platense Medical Association (AMP), the Medical Federation of the Province of Buenos Aires (FEMEBA), the Medical Federation of the Conurbano (FEMECON) and the Centro Doctor of Mar del Plata.
The increase runs from March 1, so medical professionals will see the increase according to category reflected in their payments.
Thus, new tariff values were established, which implies a bonus in category B thanks to which the affiliatory universe does not have to pay any amount for care, as well as an economic incentive for those providers who use IOMA’s digital tools.
REMUNERATION FOR BENEFITS
It was agreed with the entities FEMEBA; FEMECON, AMP and Centro Médico de Mar del Plata that the payment of fees will be made in 30 days through the use of the IOMA voucher system.
The increases in the consultation are 25 percent for category B and 45.7 percent for category C. In this way, values of 1,465 pesos are reached for bond A, 2,155 pesos for bond B, and 3,000 pesos for the c.
An additional 15 percent will also be paid on the value of the medical consultation to those professionals who use digital tools such as the electronic prescription and the token. This implies that each entity must check the codes that determine it, according to each category. In the case of category A it will be 30 percent.
Between the IOMA and the signatory entities, the goal was established, “to achieve universal access to the digital tools available for medical care.” This includes medical vouchers, the digital prescription, the smart medical order and other tools that will be incorporated.
THE AMP CLAIM
The La Plata Medical Association initiated this claim and negotiations at the beginning of the year. As highlighted by the entity of health professionals, “this week the agreement was signed to recompose the fees of the medical consultation, whose values had been systematically relegated in recent times.”
At the time that the adequacy of the fees for the consultations was agreed, it was established that the co-payment in category C will continue to be borne by the member.
It was stressed that the increase is attributable to all consultations, that is, both outpatient and inpatient.
The president of the Association, Martín Cesarini, celebrated the achievement, since, he said, it recomposes the logic of the professional categories in the consultation according to the current agreement.
