Ski fans experienced a historic day in Aare on Friday, as Mikaela Shiffrin drew level with Ingemar Stenmark’s all-time win record. Already on Saturday she could outperform this in the slalom.
The first round of the Torlauf in Aare starts at 10:30 a.m. – (LIVE ticker >>>). Top favorite Shiffrin, who has already won the slalom world cup, will start the race with start number 5.
Ahead of her, Wendy Holdener (1), Ana Bucik (2), Petra Vlhova (3) and Paula Moltzan (4) leave the starting gate. Anna Swenn-Larsson (6) and Lena Dürr (7) complete the top group, before Katharina Liensberger (8) is the first Austrian.
With Franziska Gritsch (10) and Katharina Truppe (15) there are two other ÖSV runners in the second group. The same applies to surprise world champion Laurence St. Germain, who is starting with number 11.
Also at the start for Austria are Katharina Huber (22), Marie-Therese Sporer (44) and Lisa Hörhager (50).
