Canaltech revealed the names of the 17 most desired brands in the technology market this Thursday, 9th, at an event in São Paulo. In the sixth edition of the awards, some old acquaintances from the public stood out once again.
Apple maintained dominance in smartphones and won once again. Since the first edition of the award, the American brand has never lost its position as the most desired in the category.
The same situation happens with Samsung, also undefeated in smartTVs. The South Korean brand ended the night winning a second prize, in a PC monitor, a category it had already won in a previous edition.
“We operate in a customized way to deliver what the Brazilian needs, in the way he needs it and at the moment he needs it”, says Anna Karina Pinto, director of corporate marketing at Samsung Brazil.
According to the executive, the company’s 35 years in Brazil are marked by the perennial effort to understand demands, usage profiles and investment in innovation. In addition to the company, only Dell left the award with two titles among the most desired brands. The American computer manufacturer won for the third time in the laptop category and, for the second time, in gaming laptop, with the Alienware line.
Winner for the second time in a more technical category, PC processor, Intel credits the result to investments made in research and development. “In addition, Intel has a strong culture of innovation, always looking for new ways to improve the performance and efficiency of its processors”, says Carlos Buarque, director of marketing for the company in the country.
In this sixth edition, the award had two new categories: automobile, won by Volswagen, and premium automobile, by Porsche.
