Yesterday, thousands of users were left without light in La Plata due to damage caused by a “tunneling company”, unrelated to Edelap, in the electrical network. The borrower reported that work continues to repair the serious breaks caused by the CONINSA company in a section of the main power distribution network, located on Calle 5 between 48, Diagonal 80 and 49. This caused a service interruption that It affected users located in sectors of La Plata, Villa Elvira, Los Hornos and Altos de San Lorenzo from 3:50 p.m. on Thursday.
Users began to recover the supply gradually from 4:20 p.m. through alternative routes that the network has, restoring the service in full at 7:15 p.m.
In parallel with the total restitution of the service, already completed yesterday, an important operation began, during the afternoon and night, in order to repair the damage caused by the tunneling that involved carrying out an excavation of more than 3 meters deep. in the area of 5 and 49, so the traffic is reduced and the place is fenced.
As highlighted, the tasks will continue throughout today in order to put this section of the network back into service. They also indicated that “the damage caused by the CONINSA company has been certified before a notary public and the corresponding legal actions will be taken.”
