British quartet arrives in São Paulo for the first of six performances in the city; Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba will also receive the group
After much waiting, fans of Coldplay will see the band live at Brazil this week. The British quartet arrives in São Paulo and plays the first of 11 concerts scheduled in the country this Friday, the 10th. Altogether, São Paulo will host six concerts, on the 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th of March. Curitiba will receive two presentations, which will take place on March 21 and 22. The band’s visit to Brazil ends on Rio de Janeiro, on the 25th, 26th and 28th of March. Tickets are sold out, and the expectation is that thousands of fans will be able to attend the concerts. Originally, Coldplay’s concerts would take place at Allianz Parque, located in Barra Funda, in the North Zone of São Paulo. However, with the rescheduling of the presentations, the venue had to be changed to Estádio do Morumbi, which is located in the homonymous neighborhood, in the South Zone of the city. The address is Praça Roberto Gomes Pedrosa, 1, close to the São Paulo-Morumbi station on the Line 4-Yellow of the São Paulo Metro.
Morumbi’s gates will open at 4 pm to the general public. The first show takes place at 6:15 pm, with the Brazilian Elana Dara opening the night’s performances. Then the Scottish group CHVRCHES will perform at 7:15 pm. The main attraction of the night enters the Morumbi stage at 8:30 pm.
