After the 4-0 defeat at home in the quarter-finals, VSV was under pressure at KAC. And led 1-0 after four minutes thanks to Captain Joslin. In the end, Villach made it 1-1 in the play-off series with a 4-0 win.
After the VSV had remained without a goal in the home game for the first time this season, this time it worked after only four minutes. Captain Joslin shot the puck flat on the box from behind the goal – and the disc slipped under the ice shoe from KAC goalie Dahm to make it 0:1. Goal in the last minute There was also a real exchange of blows in the second period. KAC had the first seater on the power play, but goalie Lamoureux was able to defuse the Ticar hammer in the follow-up. KAC immediately took the goalie off the ice 6:15 minutes before the end and tried six attackers. But only Rebernig hit the empty goal to make it 0:4.
