However, for the general public, Jaime Nava is known for having been for 4 years captain of the Spanish Rugby XV Team, better known as Los Leones. He came to play in England and France and, of course, in all corners of our country. In fact, it holds the title of second Spanish national team player with the most caps (79 games)behind Fran Puertas (with 93 games).
All a champion
In the Cayos Cochinos there is an absolute titan of sport, judging by the extensive track record that he has accumulated in his more than 20 years as a professional in the world of rugby. Jamie Nava debuted in this sports discipline in 2001 as league champion with Moraleja Alcobendas Rugby Union. In 2004 and 2005 he returned to lead another prize, that of Champion of Spain University with the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
As the Spanish representative of the Community of Madrid, he also took victory in 2007 and 2012. And yet another triumph: being Division of Honor B league champion with Club Alcobendas Rugby in the 2009/2010 season. The following year he collected two consecutive titles: that of Rugby King’s Cup with the El Salvador Rugby Club and silver in the European Rugby Championship VII of the FIRA-AER. His last triumph was in France (2013) as champion of Federale 1 with the Jean Prat trophy.
The man from Madrid announced its official retirement in 2019, and since then he has collaborated with the Spanish Rugby Federation as an ambassador for this sport in Spain, as well as a lecturer. He offers talks on motivation, work and leadership. As a result of all this work, in October 2020 he published his first book entitled TEAM! Rugby lessons and values for life.
From the oval ball to the stove
