“If they do not change their attitude and think that they are going to use Mexico for their political purposes, we are going to call not to vote for that party, because it is interventionist, inhumane, hypocritical and corrupt (…) what this party said yesterday Senator, we do not allow it, because Mexico respects itself.”

Already previously, Lopez Obrador described as a propaganda act and interventionist spirits the proposal of some legislators of the United States Republican Party for the army of that country to fight nine drug cartels that operate in Mexico.

The federal president cited a report from the United States Department of State that he presented to the Congress of that country on February 27 on the intervention of terrorism groups in various countries and where, according to the Mexican government, it was ruled out that they had infiltrated the organizations drug criminals.

Lopez Obrador criticized the “mania” and “bad habit” of the United States of “consider themselves the government of the world” and interfere in matters that concern the countries internally.

“But it is even worse that they want to use military force to intervene in the public life of another country. In other words, invade another country with the excuse that they are targeting terrorist drug traffickers. Of course, it is pure propaganda. It specifies that the Mexican cartels are responsible for drug trafficking to the US, as well as precursors and related substances.

The Resolution 18 It also exposes a list of violent events in which the cartels have been involved and which, according to the initiative, cause instability on the border with Mexico.

“The cartels regularly intimidate, assault, kidnap, torture and assassinate elements of the Mexican security forces”, says. The document explicitly mentions the Cartels from Sinaloa, Jalisco Nueva Generación, the Gulf, Los Zetas, the Northeast, Juárez, Tijuana, the Beltrán Leyva and the Knights Templar (or La Familia Michoacana).
