The Buenos Aires PJ summoned "manifest" against him "attempted ban" by Cristina Fernandez

The Justicialista Party of the province of Buenos Aires expressed today its “solidarity” with Vice President Cristina Fernández before what it considered the “chronicle of an announced sentence”, in reference to the foundations of the sentence to 6 years in prison and disqualification from exercising public charges against the ex-president, and called for a “demonstration” so that “the attempted proscription ends.”

For the Buenos Aires Peronism, chaired by Máximo Kirchner, the ruling against the vice president in the case known as “Vialidad” constitutes “judicial persecution and an attempt to proscribe it exercised by representatives of one of the three powers of the State.”

“After more than four months after the sentence was known, judges Jorge Gorini, Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu and Andrés Basso published the foundations of a sentence that was already written long before it was made known,” said the provincial PJ in a document.

For Justicialismo, it is a “sentence of millions of words, no conclusive evidence and a single line as an objective: to avoid a possible candidacy of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for any public office.”

“More than a condemnation, we are facing a message to the leaders who represent those who work, study, produce and invest in our country. The message is simple: those who dare to challenge the established order and believe that Argentina can be transformed, “They have to understand that the cost is paid with personal and family life. That is why the rule of law, the evidence, the guilt or innocence of the accused do not matter. It is important that the message is clear,” stressed the PJ.

The Justicialismo thus maintained that “the mechanism is not new nor is it limited to our country”, by graphing that “there are plenty of examples in Latin America of the use of the Judiciary to resolve what cannot be resolved through democratic means”, such as the sentence suffered by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brazil to “avoid his candidacy” and “increase the chances of Jair Bolsonaro”.

“We are not facing a judicial condemnation of Cristina. We are facing the judicial challenge of her policies. We are facing a very serious attempt, by one of the powers of the State, to demarcate a line regarding which candidates and political spaces are legitimately democratic and which are not, which can be elected in free elections and which cannot. This fact, in the year that our country celebrates 40 uninterrupted years of democracy, cannot and should not be ignored,” warned the PJ.

In this line, the Buenos Aires Peronism affirmed that “comrade Cristina was condemned by the same members of the powers that in four years condemned Argentina to the brutal indebtedness with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), to the loss of jobs and the submission to policies that have already failed in our country”.

“They will not be able to resolve with a ruling, no matter how many pages they add, what they could not do governing Argentina,” said the PJ, who expressed his “solidarity” with the vice president before the “chronicle of an announced sentence” and He called “those who feel the demand for democracy as their own to “demonstrate” so that the attempt to ban a space and a political leader ends.”

The Federal Oral Court 2 (TOF 2) announced today the foundations of the verdict handed down on December 6 in the “Road case”, and for which it condemned the vice president along with other defendants for alleged “fraudulent administration”, with which began to run the period of ten working days for the presentation of eventual appeals by the parties.
