Jamie Lee Curtis explains why she won't go to the Oscars dinner despite being nominated: "Mom goes to sleep early"

‘Everything at once everywhere’ has become one of the favorites in the nominations for the 2023 Oscar Awards. Although Jamie Lee Curtis has already warned that he won’t go to dinner because he goes to sleep early.

“It will be done at 21:00”

It’s almost a miracle that the Academy recognized a film as overflowing as ‘Everything At Once Everywhere’ as a top contender to win the awards. The fantastic tape of the Daniels has 11 nominations, including best supporting actress for Jamie Lee Curtis.

However, the actress does not seem too enthusiastic about the events organized by the Academy since, last Saturday at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, stated that will not go to Oscar nominees dinner which is celebrated this Thursday because it’s too late for her:

You could tell me, “Jamie, you’ve been nominated for an Academy Award. You’re going to be in the same room as other Academy Award nominees,” and I’ve turned it down. Because? Well, because mom is going to sleep early. Because 7:30 p.m. will be 9:00 p.m. before they give us our food and, you know what? Nothing good happens to me after 9:00 p.m. Nothing. Zero!

Of course, no one can blame Curtis, daughter of fellow actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, for wanting to avoid all the paraphernalia of nominee dinners, much less because you like to rest all night.

On the morning of March 13, we will find out if ‘Everything at once everywhere’ also sweeps the statuettes at the awards ceremony. In total, the film opts for the categories of best film, direction, actress, supporting actor and actress, original script, editing, costumes, music and original song.
