The femicide yesterday evening in Rosarno, in the house where the victim lived with her partner. The woman killed is a 35-year-old Ukrainian who had been living in Calabria for some time.

A 35-year-old woman of Ukrainian nationality was killed in Rosarno (Reggio Calabria). The woman’s lifeless body was found yesterday, on the eve of International Women’s Day, in the apartment where he lived with his partnerUkrainian like her.
The man is the main one suspected of femicide: he was stopped during the night by the police, after a few hours of searching. The owner of the apartment where the victim lived found the lifeless body of the 35-year-old. On the woman’s body, from an initial examination by the coroner, they were found many signs of violence and scuffles, even previous ones.
The Police intervened on the spot in Rosarno. Investigators immediately set out to find the victim’s partner who in the meantime had lost track of him. The man was identified and stopped in the Rosarno countryside a few hours later.

As it turned out, the couple lived for many years in Rosarno, in an apartment in via Medmea. He worked permanently in a local company. The two, according to the very first reconstructions, would both have had problems with alcoholism such that neighbors at the police said that heated discussions were often heard from that house.
The investigators do not exclude that during one of these quarrels, the man may have struck the woman to death. The investigations are conducted by agents of the Gioia Tauro Police Department with the coordination of the Palmi Public Prosecutor’s Office.
