By March 8, VK prepared themed activities and gifts for Russian women. On this day, girls will be able to receive congratulations from popular artists and bloggers on the Odnoklassniki and VKontakte social networks, as well as sing their favorite songs in karaoke and participate in challenges, according to a press release received by Lente.ru.

Especially for International Women’s Day, VKontakte has added six new holiday styles for profile covers. And VK Messenger presented a unique form for video messages in the form of a gerbera bud and a festive themed background. Also in “VK Calls” there was a special button “Hug in a call” for virtual hugs.

On March 8, VK Music will offer users to listen to a thematic playlist, VK Video to watch films about women who made history, and VK Clips to be inspired by videos from popular stars and bloggers.

In honor of the holiday, thematic challenges will be held in VK Clips. For example, actor Sergei Bezrukov challenged subscribers in his community on the social network, where he read excerpts from popular songs. To participate in this challenge, users need to record and upload a video of themselves reciting lines from their favorite songs in the format of a poem, with the hashtag #Lovetimeless before March 9th. The authors of the most interesting videos will be awarded. Also, users will be able to join the unpacking challenge, in order to participate in which you need to remove the creative unpacking of your home cosmetic bag.

For those who want to help others on holiday, the Dobro Mail.ru project has created a section with funds that support women in difficult situations. And for those who want to be inspired and learn more about themselves, on March 7, psychologists and actress Agata Muceniece will hold a webinar.

In honor of March 8, Odnoklassniki (OK) prepared a big concert “OK with karaoke” with the stars. Famous artists such as Ivanushki International and Alexander Panayotov will perform there. The main intrigue of the event will be the new songs of the singer Philip Kirkorov and the Dabro group. Lucy Chebotina, Anfisa Chekhova and Asiya will also share their personal stories and goals for the future with the audience.

In addition, from 6 to 8 March in 20 Russian cities it will be possible to sing your favorite songs in free branded karaoke boxes. Visitors will be able to choose their favorite song in the library and record the performance of the track on video, and then share it on social networks with the hashtag #OKsKaraoke.
