In the case of alleged abuses in Equip4Ordi GmbH, a subsidiary of the Vienna Medical Association’s resident curia, it became known on Tuesday that the public prosecutor’s office had already ordered the cell phones and laptops of the accused to be confiscated in mid-February.
The investigations were expanded against one of them, namely the Chamber employee and confidante of President Johannes Steinhart. Originally only reported because of the suspicion of favoritism, according to the public prosecutor’s arrest order, he – like the other suspects – is now suspected of infidelity. This was reported by the online magazine “Dossier”. Accused: acted on the instructions of the President The accused are said to have stated that they acted on the instructions or with the permission of Steinhart. He denies all allegations. These are currently being examined by the public prosecutor’s office, Municipal Department 40, the Court of Auditors and an internal chamber of inquiry. The case involves serious allegations against two top managers of the Vienna Medical Association and illegally diverted premiums amounting to hundreds of thousands of euros. The duo was released from work, banned from entering and had to hand in their work cell phones and laptops. Medical Association company will cease operations Meanwhile, there are increasing indications that Equip4Ordi will cease operations. Up to now, the company has supplied doctor’s surgeries with medical materials. From March 15th, no more orders can be placed, the company informs in an information letter to doctors, which is available to the “Kurier”. An analysis has shown that the platform cannot be operated economically in this form.
