The Governor of Tamaulipas reported that one person was rescued alive, while another was found injured.

The governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, reported that on Tuesday morning the Mexican authorities were able to locate the location of the four Americans who were kidnapped in the city of Matamoros last Friday.

“Of the four there are two of them dead, one person injured and one person alive,” said the local authority through a call made by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during his customary morning conference.

According to Villarreal, the Government received an information cable around 8 in the morning, which, when corroborated half an hour later, allowed the whereabouts of the victims to be found. “Right now the ambulances and the rest of the security personnel are going to give the corresponding support,” said the politician.

In this regard, López Obrador regretted the fact and offered “our sincere condolences.” In addition, he assured that there will be Justice for the victims as there was in the case of the women and children of the LeBaron family murdered in November 2019, some of them US citizens.

“There will be no impunity,” guaranteed the president, who once again rejected allowing the intervention of the US armed forces, as suggested by former officials and congressmen of that nation.

In this sense, the president expressed that there are partisan interests of “very hypocritical people” who use this type of event for political purposes.

“It is very striking that these unfortunate events take place and all the media in the US handle the information in a sensationalist way, not so when Mexicans are murdered in the US,” accused the head of state.

More information, shortly.
