Two brothers aged 24 and 25 were detained this Tuesday afternoon as alleged co-perpetrators of the crime against Máximo Jerez, the 12-year-old boy who was fatally shot when he was at the door of his house, located meters from a bunker in the settlement ‘Los Pumitas’ of Empalme Graneros de Rosario.
Investigation sources explained to Infobae that the two detainees are suspected of being the occupants of the black Honda Civic from which Máximo was killed in an attack that was directed at a woman linked to the drug kiosk of an organization led by the inmate of the Piñero Cristian “Salteño” Villazón prison, and that on Monday it was looted and vandalized by the neighbors.
The sources consulted by this means said that the detained brothers will be taken to an imputed hearing next Friday by the Intentional Homicide prosecutor, Adrián Spelta, together with the three people who were arrested this Monday night in a raid in the western area of Rosario where the car was found.
Maximiliano Oscar C., 24 years old, and Nicolás Ariel C. 4, were apprehended by the Radioelectric Command in the vicinity of Campbell at 1,400 bis, after witnesses of the attack perpetrated last weekend in the “Los Pumitas” settlement. syndicated as those who opened fire on the four children who were on the sidewalk: Máximo died and the other boys aged 14, 13 and 2 were injured and remain hospitalized in the hospital in the North zone with police custody.
The two brothers are cousins of Alex “Arañita” Ibáñez, a prisoner in the Piñero prison whose cell was seized this Monday afternoon: two cell phones were kidnapped. The procedure was carried out because, according to the testimonies of residents of Máximo, in the Empalme Graneros neighborhood – where the “Los Pumitas” settlement is located – the alleged organization “Los Salteños” sells drugs, who are in a shooting dispute with the band of “Arañita” Ibáñez.
At the moment, it is not clear this Tuesday which of the two brothers arrested was the shooter and which one was in charge of driving the Honda Civic, but the sources consulted by this means assure that the prosecutor Spelta has indications that both would be co-authors of the fatal attack .
One of the clues that led the police investigators to arrest the 24 and 25-year-old suspects has to do with the Honda Civic that was seized this Monday night in Campodónico at 3,200, in the Godoy neighborhood, in the western area of Rosario, in an operation by the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Agency and Regional Unit II. Inside the vehicle, the documentation was found that places them as those responsible for the car, and this Tuesday in the procedure the Civic key was seized.
In parallel, the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) carried out four raids this Tuesday in the settlement that this Monday made national news by a town of neighbors against the drug gangs that operate in the area. Two suspects were arrested in these operations, one of them wanted for another homicide being investigated by another prosecutor, Ademar Bianchini.
In the procedures of the last hours, cell phones, 10 firearm chargers and 200 ammunition of different calibers were seized, ranging from projectiles for FAL rifles, shotgun cartridges and .22 ammunition.
In this way, at next Friday’s hearing at the Criminal Justice Center, prosecutor Spelta will accuse the brothers as alleged co-perpetrators, and Alejandra Fabiana R., 50, and her sons Esteban Ezequiel M. (30) and Gustavo Nicolás B. (22) for alleged cover-up, since in his house they kept the car that would have been used to perpetrate the shooting.
This Tuesday it was possible to establish that Alejandra Fabiana R. is the wife of Mario Borda, a prisoner from Piñero who is sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison for having been considered a necessary participant in a homicide that occurred in September 2020 in the West zone.
Coincidentally, Borda shares Hall 9 with Axel “Arañita” Ibáñez, suspected of being behind the bloody territorial dispute with “Los Salteños”.
