The Anglo-German firm Taylor Wesing and the Spanish ecija have made progress in concretizing the “strategic alliance” announced at the end of January. According to a statement released by the former, both firms create a “combined network” that, adding professionals from both organizations, will bring together 3,000 professionals and 500 partners, spread over thirty jurisdictions. A formula that reveals that there is no corporate union between structures —that is, it is not a merger or an integration, as was speculated at the beginning. Also, the agreement does not imply “exclusivity” eitheraccording to the note sent by Ecija to the media, so that the law firms will be able to work with competitors of their ally in the respective jurisdictions in which it operates.
