Will he be able to wrest the crown from the Sims?
The Sims is one of the most recognized franchises in the video game industry, and it is practically inconceivable to meet someone who has never played one of these titles, especially now that the fourth installment is free-to-play. Even so, we cannot say that it is perfect, nor is it the pinnacle of its genre, since various problems, such as the abuse of different DLCs that extend the experiencehave made many players move away from the franchise, although to tell the truth, there is not much alternative on the market.
Some time ago Rod Humble, known for being previously the director of the studio responsible for this franchise, decided to leave this team. Since then, it’s been widely rumored that he would be working on a new life sim, but this time with a new studio, and moving away from Electronic Arts. Said and done, because It has already been officially announcedand then we tell you all the details.
We will know more details soon
To begin with, you should know that the only thing we have received is a trailer, in which a few images of the game are revealed to us, although they already allow us to understand a little more where the shots will go, especially at the moment showing the mode of construction.
You can see it below, but we are talking about a Paradox Tectonic project, and its manager is, as we have said before, Rod Rumble, former director of The Sims franchise. As we have said, the details have been kept, and it is that in this same trailer we are summoned to see a presentation with Rumble himself, which will take place on March 20 of this year.
For now, we will have to wait until the date of the presentation arrives, since the trailer does not give much to know. Even so, we cannot deny that this announcement is exciting, and that is that we will be able to see a competitor to the Sims, something that was clearly necessary in the industry. We just hope that Rod Rumble has managed to find the exact keyto end up providing us with one of the best simulation games in history.
