The carriage of May 25 was the great winner in the FNS and took 3 million pesos

The creativity, identity and departmental work of the Carrusel del Sol cars were recognized after the 2023 edition of the National Sun Festival was held. During the night of Friday, February 24, more than 1,700 artists from the local culture displayed talent, joy and color along the Corsódromo del Costanera Complejo Ferial.

There, each department presented its carriage that responded to the theme of the FNS: “Connected”, showing its natural resources, the landscape, the work, the art and the traditions of each one. Within this framework, and after the Carrousel, three department cars were chosen by a jury and were winners.

They are 25 de Mayo, Rawson and Sarmiento, who obtained the highest scores with 119, 118 and 115, respectively. As for the economic prizes, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture gave the shows with the highest value the sum of $3,000,000 (1st place), $2,000,000 (2nd place) and $1,000,000 (3rd place).

“Beyond the recreational look, the background of this federal night has to do with work, visibility and recognition of the people who work in the territories, who dedicate their lives and make daily decisions to sustain culture and identity” , said the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Claudia Grynszpan.

The design and sculptural realization; interpretation, acting and movement; costumes and characterization; lighting and sound; recycling and use of materials and the balance between languages were the criteria that the jury took into account when qualifying.

“With this proposal, one of the most attractive of the National Sun Festival, working conditions are created so that the different age groups can find their way of life in tourism and culture,” said Grynszpan.
