MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian women on International Women’s Day and noted that in Russia a sublime, respectful attitude towards women and motherhood is an unconditional value.
“A lofty, respectful attitude to a woman, to motherhood is an absolute value for us, passed down from generation to generation,” the head of state said in a video greeting recorded against the backdrop of the statue of Catherine II in the representative office of the Senate Palace of the Kremlin. He stressed that in Russia, International Women’s Day “is always filled with special warmth and meaning, with the kindest, brightest, most sincere feelings.”
According to the president, on this holiday people all over the country talk about love and admiration for mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, daughters and girlfriends, strive to please relatives and friends, to tell them “about what sometimes there is not enough time in everyday whirlwind affairs, to convey greetings and kind, sincere words to those who believe and wait at home at the time of trials and separation.
Putin drew attention to how much in life rests on the labors and generosity of women, pointed out the importance and value of the efforts that they make to ensure that “love, comfort and harmony reign in the family.” Great respect, the president noted, is caused by their unchanging responsibility, the ability to take into account all the details of the cases they are engaged in, as well as all the best qualities that they show in their professions.
“Dear women, on this day of the coming spring, I want to wish you love, mutual understanding with those who are dear to you, and so that the warmth that you so generously share returns to you a hundredfold, also warms your hearts,” concluded the head states.
