“It all started when, in 2018, we moved in together and started building furniture for our new home. Although after a short time the space was completely furnished, the desire to continue creating was still present. With a background in design and the motivation to create our own brand with a positive impact on the environment, we decided to take a risk and dedicate ourselves to what really makes us happy. That’s how the Bzugo“, tells the couple André Inácio and Mariana Cerejo. “All the pieces are produced in our workshop, combining traditional woodworking techniques with more modern practices, combining wood with other materials, such as cord and fabric, always looking for the most sustainable solution for the ideas we design. What distinguishes our creations is not only the unique and exclusive design, but also the choice of locally sourced, sustainable and/or reused materials. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, of good quality and functional, our pieces positively impact the environment, the lives of those who produce them and those who buy them.”
