Unmarried Russian women began to buy apartments more often. The fact that among one category of women the demand for real estate has increased, according to the study “Strana Development”, is reported “News”.

The percentage of unmarried shoppers increased by 33 percent. They account for 40 percent of the total number of women surveyed and more than 20 percent of buyers of both sexes. 73 percent of unmarried women buy housing with the help of a mortgage, while Russian women from 18 to 25 years old and from 26 to 30 years old use loans more often.

The average age of customers is 38 years. The most popular apartment formats for women are euro-twos — they account for 45 percent of the demand. The second place was taken by studios (35%), and the third by Euro-threes (19%). The least demanded were four-room apartments of euro format (one percent). Studios and one-room apartments are more often bought by girls from 18 to 25 years old, and euro-two apartments are more often bought by women over 40 years old.

In February, VTB calculated the amount of maternity capital spent on mortgage repayment. At the end of 2022, the bank’s clients spent 23 billion rubles of maternity capital on payments on a housing loan. On average, Russians directed 550 thousand rubles from the funds received after the birth of a child to improve their living conditions.
