The national basketball championship started this Friday, March 3 at the Salamatou Maïga Sports Palace in Bamako. The official sponsor of the Malian Basketball Federation, Orange-Mali, has not failed in tradition, its remarkable presence thus testifies to its attachment to this sport in Mali.
The opening of the 2023-2024 National Basketball Championship season took place last Friday. Representatives of Orange-Mali came to the Palais des sports to mark their presence and reaffirm their support for Malian basketball. A gala match was played on this occasion between the federal office and that of the sponsor.
The meeting ended with the score of 13-6 in a good-natured atmosphere. Mrs. Doucouré Fatoumata Sangaré, in charge of institutional communication and sponsorship at Orange-Mali, indicated that the company is the first partner of the Malian Basketball Federation and that it is important for her to be able to be present in order to continue to show the whole world that in Mali also at the level of basketball, there are real talents of the same level as those who evolve internationally.
According to Ms. Doucouré, the presence of the official sponsor at the start of the 2023-2024 championship sufficiently proves that it is all Orange-Mali that supports basketball in Mali. “Like every year, we are waiting for the ever-increasing public to be able to follow the championship matches, support our teams. Through our corporate social responsibility, we also strongly advocate fair play and we hope that all matches can be played in good harmony.“, she will say.
