Moscow factory ramps up shoe production in 2022

MOSCOW, 7 March. /TASS/. The Parizhskaya Kommuna shoe factory in Moscow produced about 1 million pairs of shoes in 2022, which is 4% more than in 2021. Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital’s investment and industrial policy department, told reporters about this on Tuesday.

“The Moscow Shoe Factory increased production by 4% compared to 2021. Thus, the company produced 980 thousand pairs of shoes. The largest increase in production was noted in the assortment of children’s shoes – 144.3 thousand pairs,” Ovchinsky said.

It is noted that in 2022 the company also increased the production of special footwear for law enforcement agencies by 1.5 times compared to 2021.

As Alexander Nikitin, general director of the Paris Commune factory, shared, the centenary was celebrated last year. Over the entire period of operation, over 660 million pairs of shoes have been manufactured at the factory’s enterprises. Also, specialists annually develop more than 700 models of shoes.

“The light industry of the capital continues to develop and show positive dynamics. Moscow companies produce clothes, accessories and shoes for children and adults. Last year, more than 200 enterprises produced 6.6 times more clothes than a year earlier,” Ovchinsky recalled.
