Moise Kean certainly didn’t cover himself in glory in Juventus’ 1-0 defeat by AS Roma.
The twelve-time Italian national player was supposed to avert the bankruptcy in the capital as a joker in the final minutes, but went to work with too much emotion.
Just 40 seconds after his substitution (89th), Kean blew his fuse after a duel with opponent Gianluca Mancini – the 23-year-old kicked the Roma defender in the back of the knee. Referee Fabio Maresca had no choice but to send the hothead off with a red card.
Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has already announced the consequences of the rude attack: “Certain things just don’t work. Moise has apologized to the team, but will have to bear the consequences for the freak out.” The striker will certainly have to pay a “hefty fine”, according to Allegri.
Corona party 2020
However, it is not yet clear how long Kean will be banned from Serie A for his freak out.
The attacker was already doing himself a disservice during the corona pandemic in April 2020 with an ill-considered action. Kean was throwing a private party at the time. At that time he was loaned to Everton FC. The “Toffees” then fined him the equivalent of 180,000 euros.
