The General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR) and the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) appealed the ruling granted by a federal judge to the former Secretary of Social Development, Rosario Robles Berlangato acquit her for the alleged crime of misuse of public service for being supposedly omitted from an alleged diversion of more than 5 billion pesos, better known as “The master scam”.
The appeal filed will be referred to the Collegiate Court of Appeal in Criminal Matters From Mexico City.
It should be remembered that on February 24, the control judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the southern prison, Roberto Paredes Gorosrieta Femat, exonerated Robles Berlanga in compliance with an amparo ruling from the Ninth Collegiate Court Honeycomb in the capital of the country. So he ordered to remove the precautionary measures that had been imposed on the former official, such as the prohibition of leaving the country without authorization, handing over her passport to the FGR and the periodic presentation before the Institution.

Paredes did not analyze the alleged participation in the diversions that FGR estimated in more than 5 thousand 73 million pesos when he was the owner of the secretariats of Social Development and Territorial and Urban Development.
On the other hand, the FGR announced the opening of a research folder against the judge and file a complaint in the Council of the Federal Judicature.
“There is abundant evidence in this regard; he did not notify his hierarchical superior in writing nor prevented or avoided that looting, being within his obligation to do so; which generated enormous patrimonial damage of resources that should have gone to the most needy sectors of the country and that were looted”, explained the dependence.
