Director Artur Aristakisyan detained at Vnukovo airport

The director and teacher were detained at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. He planned to fly to Istanbul, according to the telegram channel “NeMoskva Speaks” with reference to the director’s acquaintances.

According to the channel, Aristakisyan was detained by police on the morning of March 7 after the director went through passport control at the airport. Then Aristakisyan stopped communicating.

The reason for the detention is still unknown, but the director’s acquaintances believe that what happened may be related to a check in the educational institutions where Aristakisyan works.

“OVD-Info” writesthat the detention of Aristakisyan may be related to his anti-war position and publications on social networks. According to human rights activists, the director was taken from the airport to the police department in the Begovaya district.

The Telegram channel Govorit Nemoskva also reports that, according to Aristakisyan’s neighbors, the police tried to enter his apartment around 6 am and threatened to break down the door.
