Back on television since last September, Christophe Dechavanne is once again talking about him. In a recent podcast interview Inpowerthe host confided without taboo on the hardships he had to face throughout his career, in particular on the virulent criticism from several of his bosses.
Christophe Dechavanne back on television
In just a few years, Christophe Dechavanne has become an iconic face of the French audiovisual landscape. It must be said that the host has been present in many successes on television. We think in particular of Hello it’s us, The wheel of fortune, The Celebrity Farm or A gold family.
Unfortunately, the presenter also experienced failures. That’s why he opened up honestly about the ups and downs of his podcast career. Inpowermoderated by Louise Aubery.
And the least we can say is that Christophe Dechavanne has experienced moments of difficulty, especially in recent years. Indeed, as he explains, a public profession can sometimes be very violent:
I took it, bowls, bowls… I had bosses who told me ‘you can see that the public no longer wants to see you, go green, it’s good’, you have to have the shoulders!
The host did not think of returning to an intellectual program
Following the failures, Christophe Dechavanne almost listened to his producers. Indeed, he admits to having thought to stop television altogether. Finally, after several years of withdrawal, the presenter agreed to present what time with Lea Salame. An offer he no longer expected.
A very good surprise for him who wanted to move towards this kind of content. And if hosting this type of show was a wish, he didn’t think he would ever have access to it. Indeed, Christophe Dechavanne thought that no one was going to offer him an intellectual and cultural program. Like what, sometimes, life holds many surprises.
