The authorities of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk declared an avalanche situation in the city. This was announced on Tuesday, March 7, in the official group City Hall on VKontakte.
It is specified that the warning will be valid throughout March 8. The danger of avalanches will remain on the slopes of the Mitsulsky and Susunaysky ridges, as well as in the vicinity of the villages of Sanatorny and Sinegorsk.
By data From the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, on March 7, calm weather remains in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the air temperature in places can reach six degrees Celsius.
Earlier, in the Anzhero-Sudzhensky urban district of the Kemerovo region, a ten-year-old child fell into a coma after an avalanche descended on him while riding a tubing on the territory of the Antonovsky mine.
