Recall that at the end of February during the pre-selection on TVP Blanca was chosen to represent Poland at Eurovision 2023to be held in Liverpool.
The election itself, however, took place in highly controversial circumstances, and the fans of the loser Janna they started to press TVP to recall Blanka and send their favorite. Doubts are also raised by journalists running Eurovision media in Poland.
They accuse TVP of breaking the rules of elimination and raise ethical doubts, e.g. when selecting judges.
Blanka spoke about the whole affair in a long post, admitting that the criticism made her life more sad than joy.
“Instead of enjoying this success, I have to face a wave of hate and an unimaginable storm. Worse, rumors spread, under the guise of expressing an opinion, also public figures. I am wholeheartedly with other participants. I was working” – confessed the author of the song “Solo”.
For now, it is not expected that Blanka will give up going to Liverpool or TVP will reflect on the choice of the candidate. It is the singer who is preparing for Eurovision and she is judged by bookmakers.
And they are currently not too kind to Poland. Before the Eurovision qualifiers, our country occupied a high sixth place in the picks, currently the Polish proposal is in the 20th place according to current quotations. According to them, the chances of Blanka winning are about 1 percent.
Would Poland advance to the final? For the time being, according to bookmakers, he is in the middle of the pack in his semi-final.
He will be the winner of Eurovision in 2023 Swedenwhich has not yet chosen its candidate. They also count in the rate Finland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Norway and Great Britain (also without a representative for now).
