The Minister of Education of the Nation, Jaime Perczyk, today offered a 30% salary increase for the March-June period to teachers and non-teachers of national universities during the joint meeting that was held today at the headquarters of the educational portfolio , it was officially reported.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of University Policies, Oscar Alpa; the undersecretary of University Policies, Daniel López; the undersecretary for Strengthening Student Trajectories, Leandro Quiroga, and representatives of the Conadu, Conadu Histórica, Fedun, Fagdut, UDA, Ctera and Fatun unions.

“The Government’s proposal contemplates a 30% salary increase for university teachers and non-teachers in three stages: 16% in March, 7% in May and 7% in June, and includes the review in June,” explained the Ministry of Education. .

Perczyk maintained that “the objective of our government is clear and that is for wages to recover and beat inflation. The wage discussion is a central part of our educational policy.”

In addition, at the meeting the 2022 parity was closed with an increase of 96.8%, which implies “a recovery of 2% of wages above inflation,” the spokespersons highlighted.
