A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of scamming women through a relationship app last Saturday, 4, in Avaré, in the interior of São Paulo. According to the Civil policethe man was wanted by Justice of São Paulo for crimes of embezzlement, forgery of public documents and threat. The scammer became known as a “Tinder psychopath”. According to the police, he was located in a rented summer house, on Avenida do Progresso, in the Costa Azul neighborhood. Still according to the police, the arrest is of a preventive nature and was decreed on February 10. The investigated went through a custody hearing on the morning of Sunday, 5, and had preventive detention maintained. A team from the General Investigations Police Station of Jundiaí was monitoring the man and arrived in the municipality to carry out the arrest. The police seized cell phones and a laptop. The equipment was forwarded to the police station responsible for the investigation.
