This Monday afternoon, at about 6:00 p.m., a truck with a trailer rammed and instantly killed a man who crossed Route 20, near Las Chacritas, a few meters from the 31st Police Station, in the department July 9th.

According to the information provided by passers-by to the police, the victim was running along the south side of the road with a melon in his hands that he dropped and rolled into the middle of the road, where he went to look for it without realizing he was coming. a truck that ran over him.

The deceased was an acquaintance in the area, he lived in a box very close to the area of ​​the accident along with other people. The police specified that the victim’s name is Daniel Alberto Coria, 58, whom the neighbors called “El Tucumano.”

At the moment the identity of the truck driver is not known who, according to the brakes that were left on the asphalt, sought to slow down the march to avoid the impact. For him, the rigorous actions were triggered to find out if he was under the influence of alcohol or any drug. He was arrested.

The accident made it necessary to cut off the traffic on the national highway in order to carry out criminal investigations, and to divert the vehicles along the side of the artery.
