Last weekend, the singer Heidy Infante, granddaughter of Sinaloan actor Pedro Infante (considered one of the great legends of the golden age of Mexican cinema and ranchera music), was sexually and physically assaulted by a person identified as Yian López Semanat. This happened in full presentation with the group Nueva Sonoraduring the celebrations of the anniversary of a market in the Colonia Escuadrón 201, in the Iztapalapa City Hall, Mexico City.
In a video that he shared on his social networks, you can see the moment when Yian López improperly touches the intimate area of Heidy Infante and when trying to defend herself, she is brutally beaten. Given this, members of the group and other people immediately tried at all costs to get her to let go, since he had taken her by her hair. The assailant was detained by the police, however, he was released moments later.
In an interview for the “Chismorreo” program of Multimedios Televisión, Pedro Infante’s granddaughter narrated how the physical and sexual assault occurred of which he was a victim, in the presence of hundreds of people. He mentioned that the security team let this person up, since they thought that he was part of the musical group and that he was in an inconvenient state.
“They get confused, they let him go up and the guy takes the microphone and starts to sing, I start to say that they should take it down from the beginning, I ask him, please, not to touch me from the beginning, because the guy was coming towards me. If they thought he works for me, no, he got on and jumped backstage, that’s a mistake not to make.”
Supposedly, Heidy Infante initially touched this person on the behind, which she denied in the aforementioned interview. “I’m like: ‘Get off, please’, but it wasn’t grabbing her butt because many people are saying that I grabbed her butt, never, my hand is on the back of her lower back telling her: ‘Get off, please’, when I react to that, the man goes over me with his right hand squeezing my noble part, my sex, in such a way that it hurt me”.
She said that after being touched without her consent, she threw her hand at him and the assailant grabbed her by the hair, hitting her on the left side of her face with a punch“he half hits me, but my ear is popped, it’s open at the back, he bites my arm, I got a kick in the hip, I have a lot of bruises, my face is hurt too.”
The granddaughter of Pedro Infante He expressed that he had never seen this person. “Immediately, the people threw him down the stage, the police arrived, they apprehended him, they took him by each arm, they climbed him into a patrol car and on the way, to get him out because they wanted to hit him, because what he did to me was not fair. They take him down and when I arrive at the MP, the man is not detained, much less is there a trace of him appearing, which means that the police released him.”
He also made it very clear that after what happened, will not sit idly by and go to the last consequences“I’m not asking for money, what I want is for the man to be given the justice he deserves, because no woman deserves to be touched.”
