O Fluminense plans a gala performance for the lateral Marcelo, who returns to the club after 17 years. The player will be presented to the crowd next Friday, 10th, at Maracanã, starting at 8 pm (Brasília time). The gates will open at 6:30 pm and the audience will still watch the rapper’s show Philip Ret. Supporting members can book tickets through the website, free of charge, and non-members pay R$12 for full tickets and R$6 for half tickets. The club also asks for non-perishable food donations at the entrance. At the age of 35, Marcelo signed with Fluminense until December 2024 after a quick spell in Greece. Multi-champion with Real Madrid, champion for the Brazilian national team and also for Flu (Campeonato Carioca and Taça Rio in 2005), the winger returns to try for new titles. Before the presentation, Fluminense faces Flamengo for the last round of the group stage of the Campeonato Carioca, at 21:10. Red-black is leader and Tricolor das Laranjeiras is vice-leader.
