On a Monday day in which the self-convened teachers carry out the fourth day of consecutive strike and forced to block different streets of the Capital in rejection of the salary agreement between the Government and the unions, the Ministry of Education reported that they have already sent discount forms 6 days for absences.
According to what the secretary of Administrative and Financial Coordination of the educational portfolio, Daniela González, said on Radio Sarmiento, the days that will be deducted for absenteeism are the following: February 16, 22, 23, 27 and 28, as well as March 1 .
Without specifying the number of teachers who missed their jobs, but assuring that it was 100% of the middle and higher levels (classes only began this Monday), the person in charge of the liquidation of assets in the Ministry of Education detailed that “the absences are unjustified because the measure of force is not legal because it is not called by a union entity.”
González described the high level of unjustified absenteeism as “atypical” and also said that the discounts will be reflected in the March settlement, that is, with the next salaries.
Finally, he said that the period between March 2 and 13 will be notified soon, where three strikes motivated by self-convened teachers have already been registered so far.
