His name is Ricardo Tomás Oviedo, the depraved man who harassed and sexually abused two children, his partner’s children at the time. One of his minors confessed to his maternal grandfather the ordeal he suffered. His other brother did it through the Gesell Chamber and it was even proven that as a result of what he suffered, he ended up falling into drugs. The abuser, he was sentenced this Monday to 9 years in prison to serve in the Provincial Penitentiary Service.
The case began on July 2 of the previous year, when VSL, the mother of the minors, appeared at the Anivi UFI to denounce what her son, under the age of 13, had confessed to his grandfather. The minor, YDC, recounted that when he was 7 years old, Ricardo Tomas Oviedo -his mother’s partner at the time-, forcibly entered the home where the victim was, locked him in one of the rooms, lowered his pants and forced the boy to perform oral sex on him. It also caused anal injuries to the little one.
Once the minor explained the condition, his 15-year-old older brother testified as a witness and told the Gesell Chamber that he had also been abused by Oviedo. He stated that they were touches on the breasts, legs, and tail, and that every time this happened, when the minor refused, the aggressor hit him on the body with his fist and tried to suffocate him. The boy also confessed that as a result of that and given the impossibility of expressing what he experienced, he submitted to the world of drug use, which later led to a period of hospitalization at the Project Juan Rehabilitation Center. Resulting from the expertise carried out on the minor, that he presents mental injuries and a deterioration in his ability to enjoy himself in his psychosexual sphere.
This Monday, prior to initiating an oral and public trial, the Defendant and his defense agreed with this Public Prosecutor’s Office on an abbreviated trial agreement; which was approved by the court chaired by Dr. Figuerola, and the members Dres, Barbera and Abelin Cottonaro. Oviedo was sentenced to 9 years in prison for effective compliance for the crime of “seriously insulting sexual abuse aggravated by custody and coexistence” of YDC and “reiterated simple sexual abuse aggravated by custody, coexistence and for being a serious damage to health to the detriment of WJC
