According to its own statements, the Debeka insurance group is still on course for growth, despite high inflation and the Ukraine war. This Tuesday (11:00 a.m.) it will present its business figures for the past year at its headquarters in Koblenz. We’ve seen a slight decline in private pensions, but less than the industry as a whole, a Debeka spokesman said. Many citizens felt under pressure given the high rate of inflation.

In 2021, the company said it had grown significantly faster in all areas with a total of nine percent than the entire industry in Germany with around one percent. Debeka, which was founded in 1905, is a mutual insurance association with a traditionally large number of civil servants among its millions of members. According to its own statements, it is one of the largest German insurance groups and the market leader in private health insurance.
