Coahuila ranked eighth in the sale of hybrid and electric vehicles during 2022, with 1,523 units, which represented 3% of the national total, as reported by the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA).

At the national level, during December the sale of hybrid and electric vehicles was 5,773 units, 40.5% higher than that registered in the same month of 2021; while in the accumulated of the year, there were 51 thousand 65 vehicles and this represented a growth of 4.7% compared to the same period of 2021.
By states, the top ten sales were made up of CDMX with 11,798 units, which represented 23.1% of the total; Edomex, with 6 thousand 840 (13.4%); Nuevo León, with 5 thousand 295 (10.4%); Jalisco, with 4,783 (9.4%); Puebla, with 1,804 (3.5%); Guanajuato, 1,762 (3.5%); Sinaloa, with 1,736 (3.4%); Coahuila, with 1,523 (3.0%); Veracruz, with 1,441 (2.8%) and Baja California, with 1,192 units (2.3%). In other states the sale was 12 thousand 891 units and represented 25.2 percent.
Finally, of the total units sold in 2022 in the country, electric ones were 5,631, while plug-in hybrids were 4,575 and hybrids, 40,859 units.
