According to media reports, English footballer Alessia Russo could soon be the most expensive player in the world. Arsenal are looking to sign the 23-year-old striker from Manchester United and are willing to pay a fee in the range of £350,000-400,000 (€398,000-455,000), according to information released on Monday.
That would be more than FC Barcelona paid last autumn for Keira Walsh, who moved to Spain from Manchester City. Barcelona are said to have spent no more than 350,000 euros on Walsh. The sum now offered is also remarkable because Russo’s contract with Manchester United expires in the summer and there has been no agreement on an extension so far.
