VIDEO: They burn a passenger van in Chicoloapan for not paying extortion

During the early hours of Wednesday, a group of subjects burned a passenger van of the Route 83in it Sare Housing Complex of Chicoloapan MunicipalityMexico state.

According to what was indicated by the testimonies, it was a measure of pressure to force the carriers to pay fees for the right to land to the criminal organization that is seeking to take over the area through extortion.

The attackers stripped the owner of the unit when he was driving on the corner of Road to Mount and Milky Wayit was there when they set fire to it and then withdrew from the place with total impunity in the absence of police elements.

Firefighters responded to the emergency call to put out the flames of the vehicle that ended in a total loss; however, no injuries were reported as a result of these events, nor were detainees.

According to the carriers of Route 83, this is the third unit set on fire by a group of people who claim to be members of the La Familia Michoacana cartel, which has long had a presence in said Mexican municipality.

Extortions backed by the mayor

Inhabitants of the municipality of Chicoloapan assure that the extortions by alleged members of La Familia Michoacana are led by Marco Antonio “El Kino”mayor’s brother Nancy Gomez.

They also point out that it has the support of the municipal authorities for kidnappings and homicides in this region, for which reason the Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM)is already carrying out the corresponding inquiries.
