Martin Rütter: Fans report visiting his show – "The end really took me away"

When you go to a Martin Rütter show, you don’t necessarily expect to leave the hall with a tear in your eye. But that’s exactly how it is for many fans. Not because they are so sad that the performance is already over. Although that certainly plays a role for some, but because Martin Rütter also addresses unpleasant topics in his programs.

Most recently, Martin Rütter reported via Instagram from Saarbrücken. Once again a performance had come to an end, once again tears had flowed in the course of the evening. And not just for the spectators.

Martin Rütter gets emotional

“It was a very, very special evening,” said the man from Duisburg. And further: “In the end, I had an incredible number of people in the first rows who cried. That’s why it pissed me off a bit. I know it’s a difficult topic – saying goodbye – but I don’t want to avoid it either, because it’s also about encouraging and saying: You don’t need to be afraid of the time. You will sense when the right day is and you will do whatever is right for the dog in that phase. So again: enjoy the time with your dogs.”

They are words that go to the heart. Also the fans. “We had to say goodbye to several furry friends last year. Every goodbye was difficult. Definitive. But letting an animal go when the time is right is, in my opinion, the last and perhaps most important sign of friendship that I can show as an animal owner,” writes a fan on Instagram, for example.

And another dog lover adds: “I didn’t think that I would not only laugh tears that evening, but also cry. The ending really got me. Almost three years ago we had to let our 14 year old Golden Retriever go and today was his birthday. Then, of course, everything came together.”
