“The skin bursts, the wounds ooze”: Elena Dimitrichenko, blinded in childhood, suffers from elephantine legs

When Elena was little, a tragedy happened to her. At the age of eight, she fell from the 4th floor and miraculously survived. However, because of this, the girl became blind and was able to see only 5%, having been treated by Moscow doctors.

And at the age of 40, while at home, Dimitrichenko broke her arm, a blood clot got out on her leg, after which swelling began. “The legs were small at first, then gradually began to swell, and to this day they are huge. My daughter went to the doctors more than once, with no results, ”says her mother Lyudmila Kolos in the studio of the NTV channel’s Beyond the Boundary program.

So, on the show, Elena admitted that she weighs 150 kilograms, 50 of them are legs. Because of the gravity, she has not left the house for 4 years. At some point, despair overtook her. “Wherever I write, they say we don’t treat it. She is not subject to surgery. How to live, I do not know at all. If I’m not there, that’s all … She says, “Mom, I’d rather die,” the 74-year-old parent says, crying.
