Sexually horny or victims of blackmail - isn't it too often that players end up in jail?

Probably everyone heard the details: at the end of December, a certain girl accused the former legend of the “blue garnet” of inappropriate behavior. According to the victim, while relaxing in one of the nightclubs in the capital of Catalonia, she ran into a famous football player and instead of an autograph from the Brazilian, she got rough tackles: first, Dani “brazenly groped” her, and then put his hands under his underwear. As a result, the potential victim had to undergo a medical examination in the hospital, as well as visit a psychologist.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion denies all accusations against him. Alves does not refuse the fact that he was at the specified place and on the specified date, but not for long and he did not intersect with the victim. In addition, he came to this nightclub accompanied by his wife, the Spanish model Joana Sanz. Since the Brazilian defender left Catalonia this summer to play for Mexico’s Pumas, he was only in Barcelona for a few days to attend his mother-in-law’s funeral.

In general, the story so far looms extremely muddy. On the one hand, there is the testimony of Alves’ wife and his friends who were with them that day. On the other hand, if the information leaked to the Spanish media is to be believed, the investigators obtained a video recording of several girls approaching Alves’ company. After that, the player and one of them allegedly go to the toilet. But what happened next is not visible on the record. But it seems that the Barcelona courts have some more compromising evidence on Alves. Despite the fact that the Brazilian showed full readiness to cooperate with the investigation, and even earlier, he was not seen in such situations, after interrogation, Dani was nevertheless arrested right in the courthouse as a dangerous criminal. Now the word is up to the prosecutor, who must determine the measure of restraint for the former defender of Barcelona, and, judging by the determined attitude of the local police, they do not intend to look for opportunities for concessions to the honored footballer.

So in the near future, Alves’ current club, the Mexican Pumas, will have to play without their main star. The main thing is that you don’t have to be left without a legendary defender in the squad.

Alves is 39 years old and, yes, he is still in great shape. But, will the Brazilian be able to return to big football if he still has to go to jail, albeit for a short time. This is more of a psychological issue. When you have such a bright career behind you – 46 titles (Lionel Messi, by the way, has only 42), to be behind bars, finishing your way in big football, either by stupidity or by chance, then another test.
